Advanced Diary

Some people enjoy keeping a journal of what they do, maybe to be easier to recall certain moments or certain details or just because they feel like doing it. There are also some people that like to keep a personal collection of recipes, especially if they like to experiment a lot and create new types of dishes. For all these people there is one software and that's Advanced Diary. As the name clearly states, the program can create customized diaries using a variety of settings.

Advanced Diary is very easy to install and can run on most versions of the Windows operating system, ranging from XP to Windows 7. It takes up about 15 MB of hard disk space.

The interface of Advanced Diary is similar to the one of a regular text editor, but has many more features required for creating a diary. Thus, in the left part of the interface there is a table of contents that lists all the diary entries and also a calendar. Clicking on a diary entry will display the actual text, together with the day it was created. The program offers a lot of text formatting tools, similar to the ones offered by regular text processors. Besides entering text, Advanced Diary also allows adding images, videos and other related media content into a diary entry. Files can also be attached to an entry.

A user's diary can be protected from curious eyes using a password. Furthermore, the complete diary, together with all its entries can be exported as a file, for safe keeping. Moreover, any diary entry can be saved as a regular text document. A spell checker can automatically detect incorrect words and can automatically make corrections.
